Steak
  • 1 pound ribeye steak or sirloin
Eggs
  • 8 large eggs fresh
Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper to taste
Cooking Fat
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter

Method

Cook the Steak
  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Season the steak with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Once the skillet is hot, add the steak and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.
  3. Use a meat thermometer to check for an internal temperature of 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare.
  4. Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Cook the Eggs
  1. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and crack the eggs into the skillet.
  2. Cook the eggs to your liking: sunny-side up, over-easy, or scrambled, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Season with salt and pepper.
Serve
  1. Slice the rested steak and serve alongside the cooked eggs.
  2. Enjoy your steak and eggs breakfast hot.
