Raspberry Jam

Ingredients
  

Fruits
  • 2 cups fresh raspberries washed and stems removed
Sweeteners
  • 1 cup granulated sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
Preserving Agent
  • 1 packet pectin for thickening

Method
 

Prepare the Raspberries
  1. In a saucepan, combine the raspberries and lemon juice. Mash the raspberries slightly with a wooden spoon.
Cook the Jam
  1. Add the sugar and pectin to the saucepan. Stir well and bring to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Once boiling, continue to cook for about 10 minutes, stirring frequently until the mixture thickens.
Jar the Jam
  1. Remove the saucepan from heat. Pour the hot jam into sterilized jars using a canning funnel.
  2. Seal the jars with lids and allow to cool completely at room temperature.

Notes
