- In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, active dry yeast, and 1/4 cup granulated sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
- In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the melted butter, egg, and yeast mixture. Stir until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Punch down the risen dough and roll it out into a rectangle. Spread the fresh blueberries on top, sprinkle with 1/4 cup granulated sugar and lemon juice, then roll up tightly.
- Cut the roll into equal pieces and place in a greased baking dish. Let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
- In a bowl, mix powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons milk, and vanilla extract to create a glaze. Drizzle over the warm buns before serving.
