Ingredients
  

Taco Filling
  • 1 lb ground beef or ground turkey
  • 1 packet taco seasoning or homemade seasoning
  • 1 cup refried beans optional
Taco Assembly
  • 8 count taco shells hard or soft
  • 2 cups shredded cheese cheddar or Mexican blend
  • 1 cup sour cream for serving
  • 1 cup salsa for serving

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in the taco seasoning and refried beans, mixing well. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
Assemble the Tacos
  1. Place taco shells in a baking dish.
  2. Fill each taco shell with the beef mixture and top with shredded cheese.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve
  1. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
  2. Serve with sour cream and salsa on the side.
