Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar adjust based on sweetness preference
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch for thickening
Topping
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the blueberries, sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Stir gently to coat the blueberries.
  3. Pour the blueberry mixture into a greased baking dish.
Make the Topping
  1. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add the milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  3. Pour the batter over the blueberry filling in the baking dish.
Bake
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown.
  2. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
