Preparation
- Soak the cedar plank in water for at least 1 hour before grilling.
- In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, honey, garlic, lemon juice, and black pepper to create the marinade.
- Place the salmon fillet in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Let it marinate for 15-30 minutes.
Grilling
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Place the soaked cedar plank on the grill and close the lid. Heat for about 5 minutes until it starts to smoke.
- Carefully place the marinated salmon on the cedar plank, skin-side down.
- Close the grill lid and cook for about 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
- Remove the cedar plank from the grill and let the salmon rest for a few minutes.
Serving
- Garnish with fresh dill and serve with lemon wedges.
